Beginning on the Plateau at the rumoured-to-be-haunted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lonelyplanet.com\/canada\/montreal\/entertainment-nightlife\/bar\/barfly\">Barfly<\/a>, the ramble visits various haunted sites on the mountain, including several locations where ghosts have actually been sighted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/optative.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/haunted-mountain1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2258\" src=\"https:\/\/optative.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/haunted-mountain1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Infringement Festival - Haunted Moutain Tour.\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/optative.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/haunted-mountain1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/optative.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/haunted-mountain1.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>photo by Patrick Alonso<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Theatrical guides will regale guests with ghost stories, mysteries and legends about Mount Royal, including haunted hospitals, abandoned castles, cemeteries teeming with undead spirits, and all sorts of paranormal activities on the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will learn about the place of Mount Royal in Montreal\u2019s history and lore, including the legend of the cross, the ghost of l\u2019Esplanade Street, the child-victims of the Alan Memorial Institute\u2019s brainwashing experiments, and the tragic tale of Jack McLean and the Haunted Funicular.<\/p>\n<p>Guests will also visit Simon McTavish\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalmontreal.com\/rousing+ghost+mount+royal\/3747386\/story.html\">forgotten tomb<\/a>, recently disturbed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qUvR_iTw2SE&amp;list=FLuIifYMR_XoJQReY2SpwSVQ&amp;index=10\">archaeologists digging into the mountain<\/a> where his earthly remains lie.
